Sunflower Farm is land with a mission! Set on 7.12 acres of beautiful pastureland, the farm is owned by veterinarian, Dr. Mary Catherine Odom, DVM. With a vision for sharing the farm with the public as well as animals in need, Dr. Odom is developing Sunflower Farm to become a place of JOY, GRACE, and PEACE for all who visit.
Sunflower Farm offers
- Horse Boarding – a quiet family atmosphere, a lighted arena, a lighted round pen, and hopefully this next year will see expansion and improvement of a circumferential riding half mile riding trail and new barn; we specialize in geriatric mares and ponies/minis (please contact Dr. Odom for details/pricing)
- A place to rest and relax; kids’ times feeding carrots to the donkeys or brushing a horse (by appointment), watching (and maybe petting/feeding) baby lambs and sheep (and soon herding demonstrations with Pippi – hopefully!)
- Hand-crafted medicinal herbal salves, tinctures, teas, sachets, etc. (upon request)
- Classes in veterinary medicine/animal diseases/prevention/herbal making/animal massage (watch for announcements, or by request)
- Equine Assisted Learning programs – coming Spring, 2024 (click on the EAL page to learn about Equine Assisted Learning)
- Sunflower Veterinary Clinic and Integrative Animal Health Services, on site at Sunflower Farm. (click on Clinic page to learn about what the clinic offers)
- Our lighted arena is available to rent for vendors/craft shows/small horse shows/even music performances. (please contact Dr. Odom)
